MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS--UPDATED 08/12/2011



The club has two different membership types, they are Regular and Associate. Please review the following membership requirements and application procedures to decide which type of membership interests you.

REGULAR MEMBERSHIP

Regular members pay $125 per year for their dues. There is an initial $250 application fee that must also be paid upon acceptance to the club( this is waived for immediate family members). Regular members have riding privileges, can vote at all club meetings and in the annual election ofofficers, can run for office, may participate in all club events such as our summer series (junior and senior), club banquets, club picnic, etc. Regular member applicants must earn 150 pt and work two races to be considered for membership. Once voted in regular members must work at least four more years earning no less than 100pt for each of those years. After 20 years of consecutive membership members become life members and are no longer required to pay yearly dues.

Application process for regular members. If you are interested in regular membership you must follow the following procedures:

-Attend and sign in for at least three regular meetings. The attendance sheet is at the front table with the secretary. Attending meeting helps you become acquainted with the club and its members and provides you the opportunity to find ways to earn your needed points.

-Work at least two races and earn 150 pts. You are responsible for making sure your points are recorded and posted accurately by the points chairman. When you have accumulated your points and worked your races you can then request an application from the secretary. You will need three sponsors to sign your application. They must be regular members in good standing. Your application must then be handed back to the secretary for review. The secretary will check with the points chairman to confirm your points. Ifthey are not recorded accurately it will be your responsibility to resolve the issue. Once your points are confirmed the application will be handed over to the screening committee. The screening committee will contact you to interview you and set up a date for your application to be voted on. Your application can not be voted on until you are interviewed by a screening committee member.

-On your vote date you will be presented to the membership and you will be asked to answer several questions related to the club bylaws. Once an application is voted on all fees must be paid. No application will be finalized without all fees paid in full.

-No exceptions to the application process will be granted and it is your responsibility as a potential member to follow through with each step.
MEETINGS ARE HELD EVERY WED NIGHT, 8:00PM SPRING THRU FALL, 7:00PM IN WINTER.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Associate members have riding privileges only. They may not vote, run for office, participate in club events such as the summer series Junior and Senior), banquets, picnics, etc. Associate members pay a $750 fee to ride for the year. They may choose to earn a portion of this fee back by flagging two full races during the year. Flagging two full races will get them a $250 refund. This is purely voluntary. Associates must pay their yearly dues on time each year to maintain their membership.

Associate application process -If you are interested in Associate membership you must follow these procedures.

-Attend three meetings and sign in with the secretary. Request a membership application and have it signed by at least one member in good standing who is willing to sponsor you.

-Hand the application in to the secretary to be submitted to the screening committee. The screening committee will contact you to interview you and set up a vote date for your application. You can't be voted in until you are contacted and interviewed by a screening committee member.

-On your vote date you will be presented to the membership and asked to answer several questions about the club bylaws.

-Once your application is voted on all dues are payable immediately If you join after August your dues will be prorated. Sept. -Dec. $400. There are no refunds for flagging if your fee is prorated.

-To receive your $250 refund you must sign in at and flag two full races. It is your responsibility to make sure your races have been recorded by the points chairman before requesting a refund.

-After you join as an Associate you may choose to earn points to convert your membership to a regular status. All Associate dues paid will be credited towards your regular dues and application fee. A refund or credit will be issued if you are then voted in as a regular members in the same calendar year.

HOW TO RACE AT CENTRAL CYCLE CLUB


If you are interested in racing at the Central Cycle Club here are a few basic rules on how to do this. If you want to have the complete rules and the correct organizations to join go to www.nescmotocross.com. You can print out all the proper forms, rules and the race schedule at this website.

1) You must join the New England Sports Committee (NESC) which costs $75 by mail or $100 at the track the day of the race, except 50's and 65's; which are always $50. You can also just get a one day NESC one day pass.

2) You must have medical insurance and the proper identification to prove this.

3) All riding numbers are assigned by the NESC.

4) You must have your riding number on the motorcycle, the back of your jersey or chest protector and helmet. You must wear the proper competition riding gear.

5) Entry fees are: $30.00 for all classes. You must pre-enter 5 days prior to the event. There will be a $10 late fee for all riders that enter after that.

6) Classes run at Central Village are 85 cc, 125 cc, 200 + cc, Open, (30+, 35+, 40+ & 50 + Vets) and Female. These classes are broken down into: Novice, Amateur, and Experts class.

7] All events are pre-entry. This means that you must send your entry form, full entry fees (please put your NESC rider # in the lower left-hand corner of all checks) and a self-addressed and stamped business size envelope to the track at least 5 days prior to each event. Post entries?. Entries at the track will be taken on a space as available basis at the events. Gate refunds will not be made to un-accepted riders. When entries are Limited, a lottery system from all of those properly pre-entered will be used to determine the accepted riders. Pre-entry applies to all classes.
